ERIK BUCK MODEL 61 STOOL

Erik Buck is renowned for his skillful integration of organically sculpted lines with functionality, complemented by thoughtfully designed ergonomics and the timeless appeal of his work. Stool model 61 is one of his trademark styles, through which Buck set high standards for the bar stool as a new functional phenomenon in furniture design as early as the early 1960s. The stool’s teak frame is designed to be highly durable and long-lasting, while maintaining a sleek and smooth form. The addition of a comfortable seat cushion that supports the lower back, with the ideal seat height for 90–100 cm work surfaces, underscores its ergonomic and versatile nature.

Valuing the remarkable craftsmanship of these original stools, we have thoroughly restored them. Since the original industrial lacquer finish had been severely damaged over the decades, it was carefully removed to reveal the natural beauty of the teak frame and rosewood footrest. For the protective finish, the wooden parts are covered with an emulsification based on natural resins that preserves the wood's natural tone and texture without altering them.
